NOTES

Bay Action Heats Up with Redfish, Trout & More

Joe Bay - Manatee, FL

Spring fishing is heating up in Port St. Joe, and the bay is alive with action. Redfish are moving into the bay in greater numbers, offering excellent opportunities for inshore anglers. They’re being joined by big Speckled Trout, often called “Gator Trout” due to their impressive size this time of year.

In addition to the usual inshore favorites, schools of Pompano, Spanish Mackerel, Ladyfish, and Bluefish have started showing up, making each cast full of potential. Even a few Sharks are cruising the shallows, adding some extra excitement to the mix.

With warmer weather and clear water, spring is one of the best times to enjoy a productive day on the water with a Port St Joe fishing charter.
